Game Writeup, Week 4. Sotally Tober 4 - Ball Busters 2

Sotally Tober wins the AdMo 300

It’s mid season, and I’m sure y’all are tired of reading kickball write ups, so this week, we’re reporting our game as if it were a NASCAR event.

“So Cap’n Sunshine, the Sotally Tober car looked good out there, what went well for you?”

“Aw, shucks, thanks Tom. Yeah, we had a great car today. It was a little disappointing when we got that DQ last week up in Rockingham for having that illegal configuration, so we made sure the car was set up to the standards. We just got the right mix of downforce and horsepower and we were able to get the rubber on the track better than the Ball Busters were. It was neck and neck there for a while, but in the end, we won on the performance of our crew.”

“Yeah, we noticed that you changed drivers about 1/5 of the way through, what was that about?”

“Yeah, before the race we had a plan to switch up the driver around lap 2 and 4 to save some wear and tear. Our lead jack man Lim was instrumental in getting us the lead in the first lap with some good heads up work in the pits. Of course he was followed by the Playa of the week himself, Dale, and they couldn’t have gotten that 2 length lead without the sacrifices made by Sweet Lou the gas man. So Lim tried to get out there in the car and he did a pretty good job, but he might have been rattled when they pulled right along side, so he stayed out of the driver’s seat on lap 4 and he just let me take ‘er home. “

“What about the rest of the crew?”

“Well, we haven’t really found our stride so far this season, but I think we really got things squared away this week. We got me driving and then Lim is taking third wheel, Sweet Lou is taking main wheel, P is taking first wheel while Sea Bass is out with the flu and body aches, Our prayers are with him and his family, then we got a combo team working that second wheel with Matt and Teen combining with Mindy backing them up. Yeah we think that config will work nicely down the stretch here for us”

“Thank you Mr. Sunshine, is there anything else you’d like to add?”

“Oh Tom, you know our sponsors have been so good to us, we’d like to thank Miller High Life and Bacardi rum for giving us the fuel. We’d also like to congratulate our girl ML for making it safely to first. We want to thank all the ladies for showing up, JC, Cat, JQ, Kelli, Jen… all the beautiful ladies of racing, we couldn’t have done it without you.”

“There you have it folks, Sunshine from the Sotally Tober Racing team on their fantastic 4-2 victory in the week 4 AdMo 300. This is Tom Mcguiness for the Speed network. Back to you in the studio”

Notes from the week:

Mad Sotally Tober props for Mr. Dale the Senator Anderson for earning biggest Playa kudos this week.

And let’s reflect on the Sotaly Awesome victory we took over Out on Parole in game 3 of our epic flipcup match up. It was a 3-4 victory for the ages, with no less than 2 Tober players double flipping. (please have the decency to not mention the devastating losses we had in the first two games of that series)

Mad props to Dale and ML for their bar endurance and for draining that last pitcher so quickly while playing categories.

For real Senator, how can you get "colors in the rainbow" wrong?

I don't know about you but that was a tough category so late in the evening. I was more about "names of beer" and "types of liquor" at that point. Go Tober!!!

Granted it was a challenge staying on point, not to mention riding a bike home. Perhaps you'll have a chance to redeem yourself before next week's game (since it's a late game)

Drunk-riding is certainly tough to do Sunshine. I had a blast at the game this past week, but unfortunatley, I will not be at the next two games. I will be travelling for work for the next two weeks. Trust me, I would much rather be here. Anyway, pour one out for me at the Mill, and good luck!
