Week 2 Game writeup.

Well Tober, It looks like our undefeated streak is snapped at 1. it was a tough game and I appologize for the poor performance from the mound... ditch... puddle, whatever you want to call it. I just couldn't get a grip on the ball and I had to learn an entirely new pitching style. Plus the field was set up wrong... um ... and the refs sucked... er, um and ... they cheated, and the wind was always blowing in ways that hurt us, and ...

I hate people who make dumb excuses. We lost. We'll come back next week and give it another shot.

We have the early game week 3, so it should make for a good time at the bar afterwards. Unfortunately, with at least 5 of us racing in this stupid triathlon on the Sunday afterwards, we might not get a lot of performance from those players. I know that I'm not going to pitch, so if anybody wants that opportunity, start practicing, and you'll get the nod for game 3.

The writeup below is what was submitted for the GMOT this week, hopefully it comes out today instead of late like last week.

Sotally Tober comes from behind to win!

In what many sports writers will be calling the comeback of the decade, Sotally Tober Came from 4 runs down to win in the bottom of the 5th inning.

After struggling with pitching and offense in the first 4 innings, Sotally put the Girls on Top away 1, 2, 3 in the top of the 5th. Mr. "the Senator" Anderson, fresh up from the Sotally Tober minor league team in Atlanta, showed great athletecism in the field diving for catches, then diving again for the bounce after missing the first catch. He only needs one letter to identify him, P, also made some game saving plays in the field too. But it was on Offense where the Tober machine finally started firing on all cylenders. Mindy led off with a solid bunt that she turned in to a double on the overthrow to first. The senator got up second and put a good boot on the ball to advance Mindy to third. ML came up third and had a magical kick towards third base, keeping Mindy from scoring, but loading the bases. Sean came up with no outs and bases loaded. He kicked the biggest kick you've ever seen, and scored a grand slam home run. Tie game! P came up next and with great concentration, put a grand boot down the first base line that he turned into a tripple. Sunshine followed him up with a pop fly that was caught. One out. Next up, Noble struck out swinging. Two outs! Louis and Jessie both got on base to once again load the bases. Sotally Tobers longest standing member Teen came up with two outs, bases loaded, and for the first time in her career, she kicked the ball all the way to the wall, and scored Tober's second Grand Slam. Tober wins, Tober Wins! What a great game.

Wait, What?

The Ref who was anxious to get his game started called the game over after just 4 innings? Shit! That sucks.

Come on people, finish the early games on time so the late games don't get screwed.

The sports world is the victim in this travesty. They were denied the wonderful comeback described above.

ha. thanks for the shout-out. You are living in a dream world, sunshine! Sigh. Maybe sometime this season a miracle will happen and your premonition will come through.
Is it too late to send shout-outs to our awesome Team Triathletes in the GMOT?

Sunshine,

I like my role in the magical 5th inning. Is kickball supposed to make you sore? Wait, that's my liver. No worries.
